Fall sports update:

Anyone wanting to try-out for soccer in the fall needs to fill out the Google Form that was sent to the students school email by Friday, 6/5. There is a mandatory fall sports informational meeting on Thursday, 6/11 at 6:00 in the HS gym. This meeting is for all students who want to try out for a fall sport along with their parents.

Start date for HS soccer is Monday, August 17.
Start date for MS soccer is Monday, August 24.

Reminder about physicals.......

1. any student entering grade 5 needs to have proof of a physical before trying out
2. anyone that has not tried out for a sport before at Penquis needs to have proof of a physical before trying out
3. everyone else needs to make sure they have a physical that is up to date within the last 2 years

Physicals can be faxed to Penquis Valley at 943-0940, attention Jason Mills. If you need a physical, don't wait; set the appointment up now.

Nine grade 5/6 students at Penquis Valley Middle School were recognized at a special assembly yesterday for their outstanding effort, aspirations, and writing skills through the annual Maine College Circle Scholarship Program under the direction of Bob Stuart.

Fifth graders identified courses and activities that could help them reach their goals, while sixth graders researched educational pathways and interviewed people connected to careers that interested them.

For 28 years, Bob Stuart and Maine College Circle have worked to encourage rural Maine students to dream big and value education. During that time, 538 scholarships totaling more than $53,000 have been awarded to students in MSAD 41.

Ryan McMahon was celebrated for being the first 4 time winner of this scholarship award!

Congratulations to everyone on a great job!
