A year after winning a Gold Ball for the first time in school basketball history, the Lady Howlers are State Champions again! At the Augusta Civic Center on Saturday, PVHS pulled away from a feisty Mt. Abram team to win 42-35.
It's been an unprecedented run of success for the Basketball program, who in addition to winning it all the last 2 years, has also made it to at least the Regional Championship game in 5 straight years!
The 25/26 team is made up of Seniors Rylee Moulton and Lila Cummings, Juniors Abby Farley and Brooklynn Raymond, Sophomores Charlotte Brochu and Nicole Solomon, Freshmen Paxtyn King and Casey Loring, and 8th graders McKenna Ireland and Julia LeBrun. Penobscot Valley is coached by Nate Case, and is assisted by Alex Mooney, Brad Paradis, and Lexi Ireland. Team managers & statisticians are Emmy Coyle, Emma-Leigh Mailman, and Melaney Pelletier.
