Create a SPAM Folder

Tips and Tricks

SPAM gets more annoying every day. MSLN marks some incoming e-mail as "SPAM" or "Junk" and you can have it automatically go to your own SPAM folder to view and delete later instead of having it clutter up your Mailbox. Follow the directions below to create your own SPAM folder. Please feel free to contact Edie Miles if you have any questions, or need help setting this up.

1.

Open your FirstClass mailbox and go to "View" and "Split" horizontal or vertical.

2.

3.
rename it "SPAM"

4. Then go to "Collaborate" and down to "Rules".

5.
You should see something similar to this. Click on the icon for "New Advanced Rule"

6.
Fill in the blanks by using the pull down menus and typing "SPAM" in the blanks when needed. It should look something like the picture below. You can add more by clicking on the + sign ( example: add a subject called "Junk" and have those e-mails filed in folder SPAM as well). You can check the SPAM folder occasionally to make sure there is nothing important there - and then delete all those messages at once.

Be sure to SAVE your rule.
